13 Easter Eggs in Taylor Swift's "I Bet You Think About Me" Video You May Have Missed

Since this song is off of her Red (Taylor's Version) album, the colour was bound to be present somewhere in this video, right? While everyone else in the video wears black, white, and other subtle wedding colours, Swift stands out in numerous red outfits, making her the star of the party. It is a nod to not only the album title but also the song "Red". Clearly, lovin' him was VERY red.

There is so much to decode with this wedding-cake scene. On the top layer, you see the numbers 13 and 26. Thirteen is Swift's lucky and favourite number, so of course, she worked it into the video as many times as she could. Twenty-six is present because "I Bet You Think About Me" is track 26 on Red (Taylor's Version). Nov. 26 is also a Friday, so it may hint that something else is being released or announced on that day. You can never put it past Swift.

Remember how Swift acts like a bitter ex-girlfriend in the "Blank Space" music video when she stabs a cake with a knife? In this video, Swift takes a big chunk out of the cake with her whole hand, which mirrors that moment. Both cakes are red velvet. This may mean 1989 could be her next album rerecorded. However, this isn't the only Easter egg pointing toward that album. We also see what looks like the Red logo ring on the third layer of the cake, the bottom of which has birds on it. So it doesn't seem like a coincidence that Swift may have given him a little shout-out. Sheeran released his fourth solo album, = (or Equals), in October. There are rumours that Swift will be featured on a remix of his song "The Joker and the Queen" off this album. The best friends have been dropping hints since his album dropped.

In the video, Swift hands the new bride a gift box that contains her red scarf. If it looks familiar, it's because Swift posted a reel on Instagram with all of the outfits and accessories from this video before anyone knew what it was for. But there's one other place you might have seen that package if you were paying close attention. In the All Too Well: Short Film, you see a red gift behind Sadie Sink as she blows out her candles at her 21st birthday party, which Jake Gyllenhaal is rumoured to have blown off based on Swift's "The Moment I Knew" lyrics.

If you know anything about this album and era, it's probably about the infamous scarf. In her heartbreaking track "All Too Well", Swift sings about the scarf she left at her ex's sister's house that he supposedly kept in his drawer after their breakup. Swift hands it to the bride in the video, representing her ex giving it to another girl. This is probably one pretty obvious Easter egg, but we had to include it.

Even though some fans think that 1989 may be the next rerecorded album, the video seemingly also hints at Speak Now. In the title track from her third album, Swift sings, "I am not the type of girl who should be rudely barging in on a white-veiled occasion, but you are not the kind of boy who should be marrying the wrong girl." And while Swift is technically a figment of the male lead's imagination in "I Bet You Think About Me," she does barge in on his thoughts and his wedding by making a speech, giving his new wife her scarf, and sitting at table number 13 with the flower girls. Could Speak Now be next?

Why would someone show up uninvited to a wedding and sit at the kids' table? Well, it has a deeper meaning. Fans think this Easter egg may allude to how Swift wasn't an adult in the relationship she's singing about because of their drastic age difference. She even acts like a kid by putting two red straws in her mouth and acting like a seal and drinking a juice box with the flower girls.

If you attended the Red Tour in 2013, you might have gasped like we did when the top hat showed up in the "I Bet You Think About Me" video. Swift also wore the same hat during her "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" performance at the 2012 Europe Music Awards. First, she pulls a rabbit out of the hat, which the girls fight over. Then, she places it on a guest's head and hides behind the hat.

The album may be called Red, but the title track talks about losing him being blue and missing him being dark grey. As Swift is dancing with her ex, her wedding dress turns from white to red, but the lighting turns from blue to dark grey as she walks away from him, mirroring the lyrics in the song.

Red just keeps showing up everywhere. But if you blinked, you might have missed the red trainers Swift wears under her wedding dress as she walks away. This could be in reference to the song "Begin Again" when she sings, "He didn't like it when I wore high heels, but I do."

Swift may have worn purple on the Speak Now album cover, but the deluxe version featured Swift in a red dress similar to the one she wears in this music video. The scene, which features Folklore collaborator Aaron Dessner, also looks like her "Mean" music video when she plays the guitar with a band behind her. Of course, it could just be a red dress to fit in with the album aesthetic, but if you know Swift, you know everything she puts in her videos is calculated.

After the end of each music video, Swift makes sure to thank every person who starred in it and worked on the set and her collaborators. In this particula r end-credit scene, fans noticed a nod to another song on Red called "Starlight."

"And to all our families who supported us as we dream impossible things," the last line of the credits reads. The lyrics in the corresponding song go, "Don't you see the starlight, starlight? Don't you dream impossible things?" Whether this is a reference to another video or just to the song, it got fans talking.
