Rita Ora Shines in a Plunging Embellished Gown at "Thor: Love and Thunder" Premiere
The Marvel Universe descended upon London's Leicester Square on 5 July as the UK premiere of "Thor: Love and Thunder" saw dazzling dresses light up the capital. One gown that really caught our eye was a shimmering Elie Saab gown worn by "Poison" singer Rita Ora.
Ora stood by the side of her director beau, New Zealander Taika Waititi, who she is rumoured to have recently got engaged to with plans for a wedding believed to be imminent. And Ora looked every inch the superstar in the plunging dress that was adorned with crystal embellishments, fringed panels, an open back, and a thigh-high split.
Sometimes more is more, and Ora chose to up the style ante by accessorising with even more sparkling crystal jewellery and silver platform heels. With her bronde hair pulled back into a plaited low bun, she finished the look with flawless dewy makeup. While her look wowed fans, it was her beaming smile that was her best accessory of all.
Ora brushed shoulders at the premiere with Thor actor Natalie Portman, whose scarlet style was simply stunning. Giving us the red dancing lady emoji vibes, Portman's strapless puffball minidress was given a fabulous finishing touch in the form of a statement red flower hairband. Styled by Ryan Hastings, the custom-made dress was from Dior's Cruise collection 2023 and was teamed with barely there red heels, a dramatic headpiece, and a splash of red lipstick.
Fellow Thor actor, Tessa Thompson, opted for a metallic gown like Ora. The sequinned bandeau column dress by Oscar de la Renta certainly got her a gold star in our style book. With glitzy threads and split to allow for movement, it was the modern way the dress was styled that really won us over. Thanks to dynamic styling duo Wayman and Micah, Thompson's gown was paired with gold over-the-knee boots, cuffs on the upper arms, and a choker that gave the formal dress a contemporary touch. With bronze smoky makeup, her look was effortless glamour at its best.
Actor Pom Klementieff brought a punk edge to the blue carpet. Wearing a see-through netted asymmetric dress over black high-waist knickers, she belted an oversize leather jacket over the top, worn off one shoulder for a stylish twist. Worn with pointed ankle-strap stilettos, it was her beauty look that took her outfit to a new level. With dramatic smoky eye makeup, her hair was parted and plaited to the side. A chain was attached to her parting and weaved through the braid, so that her rebellious look really was on theme from head to toe.
