Timothée Chalamet [1] is officially making his London stage debut next year, and we're suddenly excited to go to the theatre. On Wednesday, The Old Vic announced it will be the home of Amy Herzog's Pulitzer prize-nominated play 4000 Miles when it debuts in April of next year, with Chalamet starring alongside BAFTA-award-winning Dame Eileen Atkins.

The play tells the story of 21-year-old Leo (Chalamet) who sets out to cycle across America at the beginning of Summer with his best friend. After weeks of no contact, Leo's 91-year-old grandmother Vera (Atkins) is surprised when he shows up on her Manhattan doorstep in the middle of the night — and so begins a moving story as the pair navigate life and grief together.

Chalamet has had a busy year, between a starring role in The King [2] and his role in the upcoming Greta Gerwig film Little Women [3]. 4000 Miles will open in London's The Old Vic theatre on April 16, 2020. Tickets go on sale on Tuesday at 12 p.m GMT, on the London Theatre website [4]. You'll want to get in quick though — they'll definitely be snapped up quickly
