Travis Scott, The Weeknd, and Bad Bunny are officially joining forces. The trio are releasing a new song together, Scott and The Weeknd revealed in a joint Instagram post [2] shared on 19 July. "Flame Abe Benito," Scott and The Weeknd's caption read. "Out Tomorrow Night." The single will be called "KPOP," according to Scott's website [3].
The news comes several weeks after Bad Bunny confirmed he and Scott had been working on music together. "We worked on that a while back — and I think Travis has been working on his project for a minute," Bad Bunny told Rolling Stone [4] on 21 June, referencing a collaboration with Scott. "I don't know if maybe I'll release a song [this year] if I like it enough, but I don't think so. I said this year was for resting."
The news about the new song comes shortly after the finale of The Weeknd's controversial Max show "The Idol," [5] which he conceptualised and starred in. Meanwhile, Bad Bunny made history earlier this summer when his 2022 album "Un Verano Sin Ti" became Spotify's most streamed album of all time [6]. Scott, for his part, is set to release his fourth studio album, "Utopia," on 28 July.
