I Watched the Trailer For The Turning, and Now I'll Probably Never Sleep Again

Hopefully Mackenzie Davis picked up a few lessons in self defence while filming Terminator: Dark Fate, because she'll need all the protection she can get in The Turning.

The trailer for the upcoming horror film stars Davis as Kate, a young nanny who journeys to a remote estate in the Maine countryside to help care for two orphans — Flora (The Florida Project's Brooklynn Prince) and Miles (Stranger Things alum Finn Wolfhard). Despite the gorgeous home where they reside, the children are clearly disturbed and Kate soon discovers that they've been harbouring a dark, and potentially fatal secret about the mysterious death of their parents.

The Turning is directed by Floria Sigismondi (The Handmaid's Tale) and was inspired by the iconic Henry James novel, so yes — nightmares are in your future. (As if the shot of Wolfhard's character chomping down on a giant spider didn't give that away already.)
