Watch Clare Crawley Leave Bachelor Juan Pablo | Video

May We Never Forget Clare Crawley's Iconic Speech to Then-Bachelor Juan Pablo

There are a handful of iconic Bachelor moments that longtime viewers of the series, myself included, will never forget, and among them is the time new Bachelorette Clare Crawley went off on then-Bachelor Juan Pablo.

Back in 2014, Clare was the "runner-up" on Juan Pablo's season of The Bachelor, and during the pair's final goodbye, Clare took the opportunity to speak up for herself and — this is an understatement — really let him have it. By then, Juan Pablo had already upset several of the women who were competing for his heart, including Andi Dorfman, who went on to become the Bachelorette. Andi had a memorable goodbye of her own, and the pair's heated exchange left us with her still-quoted line: "It's not okay!"

So what, exactly, happened between Clare and Juan Pablo? It's inevitable that during her upcoming season, the drama will be referenced a time or twelve, so let's dig into that memorable moment.

What Did Juan Pablo Say to Clare Crawley?

During Clare and Juan Pablo's Fantasy Suite date, he said something that deeply hurt her feelings. Although the moment itself wasn't caught on camera, she later described her disappointment by saying, "He chooses not to say something romantic, but that he loved hooking up with me." She added, "What he said and the words he used, I can't even repeat it."

Later, while speaking to the camera after the final rose ceremony, Clare explained why she was upset with him. ABC bleeped out her words, but she said, "Don't tell me you love [beeped out] me." So, yeah, you can probably fill in the blank.

What Happened When Clare Crawley Left The Bachelor?

As Clare stood in front of Juan Pablo and he told her that she wasn't the one, he leaned in to give her a hug, but Clare stopped him. She said, "I thought I knew what kind of man you were," and after walking away, she said, "I lost respect for you." Then came that line: "What you just made me go through? I would never want my children having a father like you."

Whew, what a scene. Fast forward nearly six years and we'll be tuning in to watch Clare hand out roses of her own. Personally, I believe she'll be one of the best Bachelorette leads yet, and I'm excited to watch her look for a much better, much happier ending of her own.
