What Is Netflix's Eli Movie About?

Ghosts? Evil Doctors? Murder? It's All in the Trailer For Netflix's New Horror Film, Eli

Netflix has proven itself to be the destination for fresh nightmare fuel the past few weeks, dropping new horror films and TV shows to freak all of its subscribers out. The next title to add to the list is Eli, a spooky flick starring Lily Taylor (Chambers) and Sadie Sink (Stranger Things) premiering in October.

The Ciarán Foy-directed horror film follows a young boy, Eli (Charlie Shotwell), who is suffering from a debilitating illness that no doctor has yet to find a cure for. Exhausted and desperate, his parents decide to enrol him in a series of experimental, cutting-edge treatments from Dr. Isabella Horn (Taylor). The intense process involves sealing Eli off from the rest of the world in a large "clean" house facility, in hopes that a cure can be found.

Unfortunately, Eli soon begins to suspect he's not alone in the sprawling, remote mansion where Horn is testing on him — is there a ghost haunting the building? The spirit of someone who failed to get better? Watch the freaky trailer for Eli above to see if you can figure it out before the film begins streaming on Netflix on Oct. 18.
