The Neon Pink Writing Is (Literally) on the Wall in the Love Island Villa — Here's What It All Means
Sure, the drama on Love Island is a compelling and, let's be honest, obvious reason to watch the show. However, it can sometimes be hard to focus on the bizarre antics of the islanders when every few seconds, an offensively pink, neon sign floats into view, bearing an often inane — or insane — quote, phrase, or just a simple word with absolutely no context, splashed across a white wall.
When I watch Love Island, I genuinely find it difficult to focus on the various dumpings, recouplings, and friendships being formed in the face of adversity because of the distracting design decision to employ a number of signs within the walls of the house, all of them bearing a different selection of words that would make zero sense at all if you'd never watched the show.
We have all heard the old self-love adage, "What if the words you spoke appeared on your skin?" Well, the Love Island villa has taken that quote to a whole new level, with the words that you speak literally appearing on the walls around you.
