Netflix knows what the people want and is ready to give it to us! Well, in due time. A mere two days after the premiere of The Kissing Booth 2 [1], cast members Joey King [2], Joel Courtney, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, Taylor Zakhar Perez, and Meganne Young announced that a third film is not only coming, but it's already been filmed [3]!
While the film doesn't have a set premiere date, it's been slated for release next year. Ideally, it'll follow the trend of its predecessors [4] and drop in the summer. While the cast was hush-hush on what exactly the film will focus on, we already have a good idea. A special first look at the film showed Elle (King), Noah (Jacob Elordi [5]), Lee (Courtney), and Rachel (Young) at the Flynn house, the summer after graduation. Elle is dodging calls from Harvard admission, which means she still hasn't decided where she wants to go for college and hasn't told anyone about having been accepted to both Harvard and Berkeley [6]. So it's safe to assume that the third film will pick up where The Kissing Booth [7] 2 left off and centre Elle's big decision. We might even fast forward to her attending her chosen college, similarly to how we flashed forward to graduation in the second film!
We'll have to wait until next year to see how it all ends for our favourite crew, but until then, we have plenty of time to think about all the things we want to happen!
