Where to See Pete Davidson After Saturday Night Live

Inside Pete Davidson's Next Projects After "SNL"

Pete Davidson first joined "Saturday Night Live" in 2014, and after eight seasons on the show, the star announced that the May 21 episode of the comedy show would be his last. He joined fellow cast members Aidy Bryant, Kate McKinnon, and Kyle Mooney, who also exited ahead of the show's 48th season.

In addition to his iconic roles (we'll never forget you, Chad) on "SNL," Davidson has appeared in a number of projects in recent years, including cowriting and starring in the film "The King of Staten Island," which was loosely based on his life. He also appeared in "The Suicide Squad," "The Rookie," and "Brooklyn Nine-Nine."

As far as his personal life goes, Davidson has dated a handful of stars, including Ariana Grande, Kate Beckinsale, Phoebe Dynevor, and, currently, Kim Kardashian. Certainly, being Kardashian's boyfriend now means he'll wind up making a great deal of headlines in the coming months whether he wants that or not, but Davidson also has tons of exciting onscreen projects coming up for fans to celebrate. He'll be playing a rock star and a horror-comedy protagonist, and of course, he'll be doing what he does best — playing characters based on himself. Read on to learn more about what Davidson has coming up next.

Davidson will star as a fictionalized version of himself named David in A24's "Bodies Bodies Bodies," which tells the story of a group of wealthy 20-somethings who play a murderous party game at a giant mansion in the middle of nowhere with no service. Unsurprisingly, things go very wrong. The film will be released on Aug. 5, 2022.

While "Bodies Bodies Bodies" is a comedic horror flick that seems right up Davidson's alley, the star will be giving genuinely terrifying horror a crack in "The Home," a Miramax horror film directed by James DeMonaco of "The Purge". The film stars Davidson as Max, a troubled young man who starts learning ominous secrets about the retirement home where he is newly employed. He eventually explores its forbidden fourth floor and uncovers disturbing secrets about his own experiences as a foster child.

The film began production in January, and in March, Davidson was photographed on set covered in fake blood. The chilling feature, which will definitely mark a departure from Davidson's typical style, does not have a release date yet.

Davidson has already made a semi-autobiographical film with "The King of Staten Island," and now he's set to star in a semi-autobiographical TV show. The comedian will write and star in a new series called "Bupkis," which is set to stream on Peacock.

"Bupkis" is a Yiddish word which means "nothing," and judging by that definition and Davidson's oeuvre, the show will heavily feature Davidson's characteristically witty, self-deprecating and simultaneously earnest tone. The series does not have a set release date yet.

Davidson will portray Joey Ramone in a biopic directed by Jason Orley and cowritten by Orley and Davidson himself. "I Slept With Joey Ramone" is based on a memoir by Mickey Leigh of the same name. The film, which will stream on Netflix, does not have a release date yet.

Davidson will join Sydney Sweeney, O'Shea Jackson Jr., and Bad Bunny in "American Sole," a Kevin Hart-produced feature that follows Davidson and Jackson as two 20-somethings who try to hack the sneaker resale market to achieve the American dream. Of course, things go spectacularly wrong. The film was announced in November 2020, and does not have a release date yet.

In 2020, Davidson announced that he had been cast in Rupert Sanders's "The Things They Carried," a film based on Tim O'Brien's memoir of the same name which chronicles O'Brien's experiences as a soldier in the Vietnam War. The film, which does not yet have a release date, has a star-studded cast, including Tom Hardy, Stephan James, Bill Skarsgård, Tye Sheridan, Ashton Sanders, Martin Sensmeier, Moises Arias, and Angus Cloud.

Davidson is also set to star in another A24 film entitled "Wizards!" alongside Franz Rogowski. Davidson and Rogowski star as two stoner beach bar employees who find some kind of stolen treasure. The film was announced on May 17, 2022 and will likely not air until 2023 or later.
