A Handy Guide to Who Is and Isn't a Host on Westworld

Since the beginning of the series, Dolores has been one of the most cunning and smartest hosts in Westworld. Now, she's getting ready to wreak havoc in the real world after escaping the park at the end of season two.

Teddy is one of the most prominent hosts on the series. However, after getting his program adjusted to help Dolores with her dirty work, he is eventually decommissioned when he shoots himself in the head. At the end of season two, Dolores transfers his mind to the Sublime, so that he can finally be at peace.

Throughout the series, Maeve has proven to be one of the most resourceful hosts in Westworld. After using her abilities to help a group of hosts enter the Sublime, her character is decommissioned in the season two finale. Clearly she doesn't stay down for long though, because the season three trailer shows her alive in well in a new park.

Throughout the series, Hector acts as Maeve's right-hand man in Westworld. However, at the end of season two, he is decommissioned with the rest of the hosts.

In perhaps one of the most shocking twists on the show, Bernard is revealed to be a host. He was created as a replica of Dr. Ford's former partner, Arnold Weber. For a long time, Bernard believed himself to be human, but he eventually finds out the truth at the end of season one.

At the end of season two, Stubbs subtly reveals that he is a host when Dolores escapes the park. During his conversation with Dolores, he notes that he's been in the park for quite some time now and that protecting hosts is essentially his "core drive."

While Charlotte is dead, there is still a host version of her running around. In the season two finale, Dolores creates a host replica of Charlotte, kills the human Charlotte, and eventually poses as her to escape the park.

Though human James is dead, Delos Incorporated eventually creates a host replica of him (which is implanted with his consciousness) as an experiment for immortality.

Though human Logan dies of an overdose, a version of him lives on, just not as a host per se. The Forge takes on the form of Logan to explain human coding to Bernard and Dolores at the end of season two.

Dr. Ford died during season one, but there is a host version of him in Westworld. The "Little Boy," which was created by Arnold as a gift, is a copy of young Robert Ford.

The question of whether or not William is a host is a tricky one. During season one and two, he appears to be human, but the end of season two makes us think otherwise. In a postcredits scene, William enters the once-flooded Forge and is greeted by his late daughter Emily. After a telling conversation between the two, it becomes clear that William is being tested for fidelity, much like how he tested his father-in-law's host. Seeing that the postcredits scene appears to be in the future, it's likely that William eventually transfers his human consciousness into a host body.

Though William believes Emily is a host when they meet in the park, he later finds out that she is actually his daughter when he shoots and kills her. However, after seeing the postcredits scene in season two, it's possible that a host version of her is eventually created to test William's fidelity.

Lee just might be one of the only humans left on the show, but he also might be dead. At the end of season two, Lee sacrifices himself by taking a whole bunch of bullets so that Maeve and the other hosts can escape.

It seems like Lena Waithe's character, who teams up with Caleb through the Rico app, is human.

Giggles, played by former NFL player Marshawn Lynch, appears to be human.

Similarly to how Charlotte was killed, Connells is killed by the hands of his host replica. After drugging and trying to kill Dolores, Connells's host replica shoots him in the head in the season three premiere.
