Netflix's quirky action comedy Teenage Bounty Hunters [1] is one of the newest shows on the platform, but we're already wondering if there will be a second season? The show, which follows a pair of teenage twins as they team up with a pro bounty hunter to track down baddies, still has its future very much up in the air.

Right now, there hasn't been any word about whether the show has been renewed for a second season or if it's going to be cancelled. For a little while, at least, we really can't expect to hear any news. Aside from its most popular, attention-grabbing titles, Netflix rarely renews shows immediately, and even then, it can take weeks or months after the initial release for the news to break. Since the first season is just debuting on Aug. 14, [2] it's far too early to expect Netflix to have made a decision one way or the other.

There are a few things working against Teenage Bounty Hunters getting a renewal, however. It doesn't have any major stars to bring fans in by virtue of casting alone; in fact, its two lead actresses are relative newcomers and are both getting their first lead roles with this show. Since it's got an action element to it, it's probably not among the cheapest shows to produce, which generally works against a show unless it's the kind of blockbuster hit that can offset production expenses with big numbers. To top it off, there's very little pre-premiere buzz, especially on social media, which can often make or break a show's future.

Teenage Bounty Hunters is one of Netflix's newest teen shows [3]. The show is led by Maddie Phillips and Anjelica Bette Fellini as twins Sterling and Blair, and it also includes Kadeem Hardison as the bounty hunter the girls team up with, Mackenzie Astin and Virginia Williams as their parents, Myles Evans as Blair's love interest Miles, Spencer House as Luke Creswell, Sterling's boyfriend, and Cliff "Method Man" Smith as a rival bounty hunter with the awesome name Terrance Coin. We'll have to wait a while to see if this cast will get a chance to reunite for a second season, or if it'll join the pile of one-and-one cancelled shows.
