Willow Smith [1] and Avril Lavigne [2]'s song "Grow [3]" featuring Travis Barker [4] isn't inherently angsty. In fact, it's a song about bettering yourself. But man, the music video sure transports me back to my moody Y2K days. In the video released on Tuesday, the duo revives the pop-punk aesthetic of the '90s and 2000s. It's chaotic in like a totally cool way! The music video is practically a time capsule with Smith and Lavigne wearing neon plaid pants and leather with spikes, the skater culture highlights, good old-fashioned headbanging, and of course, an electric guitar jam session in an abandoned lot. BRB, I have to kick something.
