Michael B. Jordan Morphs Into Tom Clancy's John Clark in the Teaser For Without Remorse

Michael B. Jordan is taking on the role of legendary Tom Clancy antihero John Clark — think of him as the opposite of Jack Ryan — and now we have a first, brief glimpse of him in character.

A teaser for the action film, Without Remorse, was shared on Wednesday, and features the Just Mercy star sitting in full military gear as visions of war flash across his face. Directed by Stefano Sollima (Sicario: Day of the Soldado), the movie will see the character as an onscreen lead for the first time. Previously, John Clark has been played in supporting roles by actors like Liev Schreiber in The Sum of All Fears and more recently John Hoogenakker in Jack Ryan, but now Clark will be at the centre of the narrative.

Although more concrete details about the story remain under wraps, the gist will see the Navy SEAL going on a Punisher-like war path to avenge his wife's murder. Of course, his actions end with him in the middle of an even bigger conspiracy, forcing him to confront threats he didn't even know existed.

Jordan stars in Without Remorse alongside Cam Gigandet, Jamie Bell, Brett Gelman, and Jodie Turner-Smith. Watch the teaser above, and keep an eye out for the film when it hits theatres on Sept. 18, 2020.
