12 Affordable Fashion Brands That Will Thrill You Just as Much as Zara

11/07/2019 - 09:06 PM

Where can I buy cute, well-made clothes that I actually still like after wearing them once? Story of my life. It's probably yours, too. That's why I'm here to offer you a well-rounded list of the Zara and H&Ms of the world you didn't even know existed. All of the labels below are fun to shop (meaning that you'll actually collect styling tips as you scroll through the pages and see how items are paired together). It's probably hard to believe that I found 12 different sites that fall into this bucket, but I wouldn't lie to you.

I'm particularly into Pull&Bear these days, which I think of as Zara's little sister, and when I need a sophisticated, lightweight dress for the office, my first stops are Mango and COS. I recently discovered Choosy after Sophie Turner wore one of the brand's dresses [1] during her wedding weekend in Paris, and I'm suddenly smitten. Oh, and would you believe that Kendall Jenner's Mykonos party outfit is only $57 at Meshki [2], another retailer I included on this list?

Girl, you're about to spend some money when you get to know these fashion destinations, but at least you can feel good knowing you're not breaking the bank with just one cool jumpsuit. IDK about you, but that's pretty much my idea of heaven.

Motel Rocks

You'll find tons of cute prints on trendy silhouettes here, along with basics like the Paiva Slip Dress in Satin Ivory [4] ($62). The best part? Most pieces won't set you back more than $75.

Mango

Mango's aesthetic is very similar to that of Zara's, and you can get tons of great styling ideas just from browsing through the pages. For example, the brand shows you how to wear this Tie Dye Shirt [5] ($60) two very different ways, right on the product page.

pull&bear

If you get the feeling that pull&bear is like Zara's little sister when you arrive at the site, you're not far off. The brands are actually owned by the same parent company, with pull&bear also stocking everything from swimwear to fresh shoe silhouettes and wear with anything graphic tees, like this USA Slogan Shirt [6] ($18).

NA-KD

NA-KD stocks multiple brands you're probably already familiar with, but its namesake label includes affordable pieces that rarely ring in over $100 and make for a well rounded wardrobe. NA-KD's there for the girl who loves to go out, whether she prefers romantic dresses or something with subtle sex appeal, like this Belted Playsuit in Black [7] ($48).

River Island

We love that River Island offers extended sizing in some of its most popular pieces on the site. You can score tons of new shoes and handbags on the site, or even get specific about your search and hop over to the Holiday Shop category. We're a big fan of the skirt selection here, like this Plus pink zebra print midi asymmetrical skirt [8] ($64).

COS

If you're a minimalist, you're going to be all about pairing simple, clean pieces in slightly varying tones to make for the perfect monochrome outfit. COS is perfect for that, and even the truly standout dresses don't usually cost more than $200. We're big fans of the items here that will go for miles and stay timeless, like this Lightweight Gathered Hem Top in Cognac [9] ($49).

Choosy

Sophie Turner wore a Choosy dress during her wedding weekend in Paris [10], and we couldn't believe our eyes when we saw that it was only $65. While there are a lot of shirtdresses to shop here, they come in eye-catching silhouettes, and there are bright sets peppered in between, like the Dharma Crop Top [11] ($75) and Dharma Shorts [12] ($70).

MESHKI

Kendall Jenner recently wore a look-at-me dress from MESHKI while vacationing in Mykonos [13], and it gave off the exact vibe of the entire label. Even the more simple pairings, like this Milei Sleeveless Button-Up Bodysuit [14] ($35) and Sylvia Loopback Joggers [15] ($49) are tightfitting and have sex appeal. This label is all about the bodyconscious style, so get ready to proudly show off your curves.

NEED

NEED offers simple, lightweight pieces that all fall within the $55-$200 range. Extended sizes are also offered, and the colours in the collection are ethereal and gorgeous. We're particularly excited about this Omendra Tank in Malt [16] ($75) and Kenly Pull On Pant in Malt [17] ($130).

PrettyLittleThing

Hailey Baldwin collaborated with PrettyLittleThing on a holiday collection [18], so the name might ring a bell. Plus, Kourtney Kardashian's a fan. There's a drop down option to "shop by figure" on the site, which we absolutely love. You'll be able to find everything from statement dresses to basics with something extra, like this Plus Stone Pleat Detail Shirt Dress [19] ($32, originally $50). The new drops continue to surprise us.

& Other Stories

We like to describe & Other Stories as "Madewell meets Anthropologie meets Zara," but really, it's its own entity, and it's fabulous. You'll be happy with the prices of dresses, which range from $100-$200, and you'll mix and match religiously with pieces like this Stretch Spaghetti Rib Tank Top [20] ($39).

Storets

If you're into pieces with oomph — we're talking colourful pants and voluminous dress silhouettes — shop at Storets. We have a feeling Cher Horowitz would be a big fan because the label constantly keeps fun '90s trends in stock. We love how these Reagan Wide Leg Pants [21] ($75) look with a lightweight tank and sneakers.
