Beyoncé put the "pride" in Pride Rock at the 2019 Wearable Art Gala on Saturday, hosted by her mom Tina Lawson [1]. The 37-year-old musical powerhouse made an entrance at the Santa Monica event [2], wearing a custom Georges Hobeika jumpsuit alongside her 7-year-old daughter Blue Ivy and her husband JAY-Z.
The timing of Beyoncé's fierce fashion choice couldn't be better. The gala's theme "Journey to the Pridelands" ramps up the singer's upcoming role as Nala in the Lion King remake [3], which hits theatres in July. Queen Bey channelled lioness royalty in the glam glittering gold one-piece, complete with a feathered lion motif and a dramatic cape. She paired the jumpsuit with beaded metallic heels and matching jewellery. Blue joined in on the stylish fun and wore a billowing bright yellow dress, while JAY-Z kept things classic in a dark suit.
