Cate Blanchett's Latest Looks Bring a Whole New Meaning to the Term "Power Suit"

Cate doubled down in an Alexander McQueen look teamed with a Valextra clutch, wearing it for both the NYC premiere of Where'd You Go Bernadette and an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

Cate's McQueen look featured a single-breasted tailored jacket with voluminous blue satin sleeves in a coiled shell design.

Cate's stylist Elizabeth Stewart referred to the look as having "shades of [David] Bowie."

Cate finished her look with the Bar Graph earrings by Fallon jewellery.

For her arrival at The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Cate sported a yellow blouse by The Row.

The blouse features a pleated front, a crossover high neck, and split sleeves.

Cate teamed her blouse with softly tailored black trousers and classic heels.

The silhouette of the blouse is clearly a favorite of Cate's, as she was also spotted in NYC wearing a brown printed version with a pair of wrap-front '30s-inspired trousers.

This blouse, also by The Row, features the same neckline but without the pleated front.

Those instantly recognisable slit sleeves are also present in this design.

Earlier in the day, Cate teamed the same The Row trousers with a simple button-down shirt and black jacket. Her shoes are Sergio Rossi.

Fastening the shirt right up to the neckline gave the look an androgynous feel.

Sporting another look by The Row, Cate's passion for soft tailoring continued with this gray dress.

The asymmetric hem of her dress showed off Cate's Freda Salvador flats.

As she arrived at The Today Show, Cate sported a chic Akris suit in bubblegum pink.

Cate stopped the look from being too traditionally "girlie" by teaming it with white sneakers.

For a private screening of Where'd You Go Bernadette, Cate looked regal in a white Fendi suit.
