Karl Lagerfeld is a master creator of runway sets, so we weren't the least bit surprised to find he debuted his Autumn 2018 collection in an enchanted forest. In fact, this might be a Fashion Week trend, seeing as Coach's show took place in a similar atmosphere and Off-White can be credited for having done it first. Designer Virgil Abloh had his Autumn 2017 models walk through a trail of leaves.

But the new Chanel clothes are on theme. If you zoom in close, you'll see autumnal printed coats and Coco's signature tweed suits wrapped with wool scarves and hoodies, the most modern touch. Even the knee-high boots blended in with the foliage, while the bright blue and pink gloves, worn by the likes of Kaia Gerber, stood out and popped against the new Chanel fold-over totes.
