Christian Siriano's Taking Over For Tim Gunn on Project Runway — You Know He'll Make It Work

11/10/2018 - 12:11 AM

The mentee is becoming the mentor! Christian Siriano will return to his Project Runway [1] roots and take up Tim Gunn [2]'s vacated role, after competing on the Bravo fashion design show ten years ago.

Back in September, Tim and Heidi Klum [3] announced their exit from Project Runway after 16 seasons, for a new opportunity with Amazon. While fans may be mourning the loss of the "Make It Work" king, never fear! Christian, who has become a designer to the stars [4] since his 2008 win, will step into Tim's stylish shoes to mentor contestants during the upcoming season and we're sure he'll do the job justice. After all, he still stands as the competition's youngest winner [5].

Christian's not the only star joining the show's staff. Model Karlie Kloss will be taking the reins from Heidi Klum as host, while fashion designer Brandon Maxwell and former Teen Vogue editor Elaine Welteroth are slated as judges. Nina Garcia will also return as a judge. No news yet as to when season 17 is set to premiere, but it's safe to say we're not the only ones eager to watch Christian "make it work" with fashion's new, up-and-coming talent. Check out the reactions when the news hit Twitter.
