Christmas came early for Dolce & Gabbana, who just revealed the Claridge's 2013 Christmas tree. And it turns out the Italian label's signature rich hues and ornate fabrics make it a natural fit for the business of tree trimming (not to mention the fact that the designers are longtime guests of the hotel).
Pairing with the Mayfair property and following in the footsteps of Lanvin and Dior, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana designed a tree that is sure to delight guests. The duo put a Sicilian twist on the holiday with handcrafted puppets known as "pupi," Italian glass baubles, and multicoloured "luminarie" framework from Southern Italy. One thing's for certain: we feel like kids on Christmas morning — read on to see why and to see the original sketch.
