Fall 2018's biggest denim trends are actually pretty easy to pull off, and that's because there's a flattering fit for every type of gal. Whether you're still all about the '80s and you prefer to wear a strong-shouldered blazer with tapered trousers and flashy heels, or you're a tomboy who loves a skinny pant with a racing stripe, there's a way for you to feel cool in your jeans. Some of our favourite supermodels and stars have already pointed us in the right direction with their street style, so now there's only one thing to do: shop! Read ahead to get the rundown on the latest silhouettes that are sprouting up and practically begging for a second look.

    1. '80s Distress

Whether you opt for high-rise, boot-cut jeans with rips at the knees that you cinch at the waist with a thick leather belt or go Priyanka Chopra's route with a skirt overlay, 'tis the season to channel the '80s. The Quantico star's R13 skirted jeans have become iconic among the fashion pack, but there are plenty more iterations you can style with a strong-shouldered jacket to get the look.

    2. Straight Leg Mom Jeans

The mom jean is sticking around for another season, but we're seeing it in a lighter wash pulled over boots or paired with chunky dad sneakers. Whether you accentuate the high waist by tucking in a lived-in band tee or opt for a fitted bodice like Kourtney Kardashian, showing off the full fit from every angle will elongate your frame.

    3. Utilitarian Denim Jumpsuit

Don't mistake the denim jumpsuit for overalls. This piece looks like a modern update to an old work uniform and comes in an oversize silhouette that you can manipulate to flatter your own figure. Pull the belt in tight, and draw attention to your waist or roll up the sleeves on a warmer day, like Emily Ratajkowski.

    4. Coloured Denim

Kendall Jenner made it known when she stepped out in deep teal denim and a flannel: coloured jeans are making a comeback. From pale blue to flashy hot pink, working this style is one way to get noticed on the street. Of course, you can really speak to the season by choosing a unique shade in an of-the-moment fit, like the straight leg mom.

    5. Logo Denim

The logomania trend is alive and well, so why shouldn't that extend to your jeans? Hailey Baldwin showed us how to go all out when she rocked these Versace coordinates. Believe it or not, high end designer stamps aren't the only ones available to shop.

    6. Wide Leg

You'll be right on trend whether your wide leg jeans come to an ankle-grazing length, like Cipriana Quann's, or pool to the floor — what we'll call the '70s stretch. When you're rocking the crop, finish with a block heel or embellished slingback for maximum effect.

    7. Tight Denim Trouser

Think of this slick jean as the new skinny. Victoria Beckham showed us how to work it as part of a "denim suit," which we're all about, but she also rocked these puppies with a camo tee, proving they've got a place in your casual wardrobe, too. Whether you opt for a formfitting style with more of a flare or a cut that tapers at the ankles is your own prerogative.

    8. Side Stripe

The side stripe jean, whether single or double, like Gigi Hadid's Mother Denim pair, is a no-brainer way to get in on the race car trend. But with Calvin Klein's take making waves and the option to complete your pair with a matching denim jacket, this is a sporty look you'll want to extend from top to bottom. See how Gigi brought things full circle by reflecting the stripe on the collar of her coat?
