High Street store Debenhams recently decided to embrace the variety of shapes of women which shop at their store by introducing curvier mannequins. There has been a growing trend for plus size models so it makes sense that this should pass down to retail. The average British woman is between a 14 and a 16 so it is definitely more representative. Head of Creative for the store Mark Stevens commented, “We are proud to offer a broad and varied choice for women of all ages, shapes and sizes in store. So we thought we should reflect this in our window displays.” Do you think that more companies should embrace this and follow Debenhams' lead?
