Dolce and Gabbana are being accused of tax evasion this week. Italian prosecutors have requested the trail of the Italian design duo for alleged tax fraud of around one billion euros. They have previously denied the allegations which relates to the sale of Dolce & Gabbana and D&G brands to the designers’ Luxembourg-based holding company, Gado Srl.
So far, it is unclear whether Dolce and Gabbana will pay a fine and negotiate or try and get out of the charges altogether via a lengthy court case. The company employs over 3,000 people and has a network of 116 stores. Each designer is being accused of owing 416 million euros. Are you surprised by this news?
