The wardrobe's of Chelsea football players are about to get a little bit more stylish! It was announced today that Dolce and Gabbana are designing suits for the team as part of a three year deal. They will also be creating the Dolce & Gabbana Lounge at Stamford Bridge and redesigning the reception area.
Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana explained why they got involved,
"We are big football fans: for us it means healthy competition, intense passion and great discipline. Football players are style icons both on and off the pitch and, on top of this, there is our love of England and of London, which have always been a source of inspiration for our work."
They have designed a three piece suit in the club's signature blue and a wool fitted coat. I am excited to see the likes of Frank Lampard and John Terry wearing their new designer wears. This isn't the first time Dolce and Gabbana have ventured in to football. They have previously worked with AC Milan and the 2006 World Cup Italian football team.
