To kick off your Fall outfit lineup [5], we're starting with a feminine combo we love: a sweater, midi skirt, and boots (three of our seasonal heroes!). A personal favourite of mine, this outfit formula is tried and true for a couple of reasons. First, it's so easy to wear, requiring one of the coziest closet staples in every woman's Fall wardrobe, a sweater! As for the midi skirt, longer hemlines are continuing to rule this Autumn (with ankle-grazing lengths making a mark, too), and a mid-calf silhouette is a polished option no matter your height (yes, even petites can get in on this trend).

Second, this outfit is the ultimate wear-anywhere look: it's so smart for the office while feeling stylish for dinners, drinks, events, and whatever else you have on your Fall calender. Finally, the boots! Slouchy boots (that hit at mid-calf or just under the knee) have seen a resurgence over the past couple of seasons and are my personal favourite to wear under all kinds of midi skirts from floaty styles to more structured silhouettes. If you can't quite get into these, this outfit works just as well with sleek ankle boots or a classic to-the-knee boot. For added texture, go for in-season snake-print or faux-croc and one of Fall's biggest jewellery trends [6] like chain-link necklaces or bold, gold earrings.
