Horse Racing Is Getting a High-Fashion Makeover Thanks to These Designers
As if a trip to the races wasn't glamorous enough, the upcoming Qatar Goodwood Festival is getting an extra injection of style this year thanks to some of our favourite fashion designers. On ladies' day, 28 July, a group of influential women will become jockeys for the day for the charity race the Magnolia Cup. This year's participants include TalkTalk CEO Dido Harding, Bank of England COO Charlotte Hogg, BBC South presenter Alexis Green, and graphic designer Alby Bailey. They'll be wearing bespoke silks by designers including Vivienne Westwood, Amanda Wakeley, and Middleton sisters favourite Beulah.
We've got a sneak peek at the designs for the silks, and they're definitely a step up from what we're used to seeing at the races. Take a look through the just-released looks now, then if you fancy seeing them for real in July, book your tickets online now (from £16.80).
