Fancy Taking a Look in Our Baskets? Here's Everything Our Editors Are Buying This June

31/05/2019 - 05:50 PM

The battle between neons [1] and neutrals [2] continues with our most coveted pieces for June. But why choose a side when you can play with both in one winning look?

This month, team PS is loving a soft Spring palette of crisp white, calming beige, and sweet blush pink. While we embrace les beiges for Spring, we're also prepping for Summer with pops of colour in golden yellow and Irish green.

Wrap dresses [3] get 10s across the board from our team, and we'll be wearing them with microheel mules [4] or lace-up raffia sandals. For those chilly mornings, we're opting for a sleek longline blazer [5], classic white trainers [6] or black ankle boots [7], and finishing the look with delicate gold accessories [8].

Fancy taking a look in our baskets? We think you'll love these pieces as much as we do.

Musier Penelope Mules

"I saw these darling little Musier Penelope Mules [10] (€146) on Instagram and it was love at first swipe. The square toe, leopard print and micro heel is very on trend for the season." – Kara Kia, editorial assistant

Finery Sabine Wrap Dress

"I love a Summer dress that'll do just about anything, and the Finery Sabine Wrap Dress [11] (£149) would be just as good for running between appointments on a busy work day as it would be for a country wedding. It just needs the right accessories — trainers for day and heels for night." — Gemma Cartwright, senior editor

Ania Haie 14ct Yellow Gold Plated Modern Hoop Earrings

"When I first heard about the Ania Haie x H.Samual collaboration, I wasn't sure what to expect, but after laying eyes on the Ania Haie 14ct Yellow Gold Hoops [12] (£25), I was sold. They are minimalist but modern, good quality, and only cost £25." — Tori Crowther, assistant editor

H&M Wide Suit Trousers

"Wide-leg white trousers are my go-to during the Summer. They feel fresh without having to get my legs out. I'll be pairing these H&M Wide Suit Trousers [13] (£35) with a relaxed tee and white trainers to make it more casual and lightweight for those warmer days." — Kiri Paul, sales planner

Zara Satin Camisole Dress

"This Zara Satin Camisole Dress [14] (£30) makes me think of a Summer romance. I'm loving satin slip dresses with lace details for Summer '19, especially in crisp white. I'd pair this silky number with an oversized linen blazer, white micro heels, and tiny black sunglasses." — KK

LOQ Costa Flats

"There's something incredibly chic and nostalgic about a pair of tan woven sandals. They remind me of a fabulous French woman strolling along the Seine with a bouquet of flowers in her bag. The shape of these LOQ Costa Flats [15] (£360) gives the classic shoe a fresh twist, and I love that they can be dressed up or down depending on what you wear them with." – SP

& Other Stories Striped Wrap Dress

"I love the colour scheme of this & Other Stories Striped Wrap Dress [16] (£69)! Really fresh for the season and perfect for Summer BBQs pared down with sandals." — Katie Jackson, brand partnerships manager

Sézane Andrea Blouse

"The airy Sézane Andrea Blouse [17] (€85) has it all. Ruffles! Fabric buttons! Delicate embroidered flowers! Puff sleeves! It's sweet without being overly girly, and you can make it a touch sexier by just throwing on a few gold necklaces and undoing a few buttons. It'll look great paired with my favourite Levi's Wedgie Fit jeans for the weekend or a pair of wide-leg khakis for work. When I go back to New York City to visit my friends and family, I'll throw it on with a pair of shorts to survive the humidity." — Sophia Panych, content director

Fablou Cosmopolitan

"I found this brand through Instagram and I love this Fablou Cosmopolitan [18] (£90) in Frappuccino. Designed in silicone, it's a unique twist on a traditional backpack. The large internal pocket is great when heading to the airport on holiday!" — Hayley Sharp, brand partnerships director

& Other Stories Satin Midi Dress

"I recently bought this & Other Stories Satin Midi Dress [19] (£79) for a wedding, and it was great for the unexpected weather. I took along a leather jacket, and when it got a little warmer in the day, I was able to throw off the jacket and roll up the sleeves so they became mid length and the whole dress transformed into a Summer dress. Depending on how you tie this dress, it can change the style completely and suits most body shapes because of this. It's a great all-rounder — plus, I LOVE green!" — Pippa Marchington, brand strategy & innovation manager

H&M Pleated Skirt

"I love a transitional skirt that offers a pop of colour as we move through seasons. This H&M Pleated Skirt [20] (£25) provides the perfect day-to-night styling with a mid-calf length primed for the office while the high-leg slits make it an easy transition into evening wear. Grab a pair of heels and go!" — HS

Veja Esplar Leather White Trainers

"A girl can never have enough white trainers, right?! I've got my eye on these Veja Esplar White Trainers [21] (€99). They're the perfect combination of comfort and style, ideal for dressing down a tailored two-piece or Summer dress. A great investment piece too as they are 100 percent vegan. Definitely a win-win!" — KP

Zara Long Blazer

"It's always difficult to dress for the transitioning weather, something light enough for when the sun comes out but also that will keep you warm on the way into the office. This pink Zara Long Blazer [22] (£80) is a wardrobe classic, but the soft pink hues provide a fresh Spring update. I'll be wearing this with jeans and Summer dresses." — KJ

& Other Stories Puff Sleeve Mini Dress

"I absolutely love this & Other Stories Puff Sleeve Mini Dress [23] (£79). It gives me major Isabel Marant vibes but at a MUCH smaller price tag. It is easy to dress down and up by playing around with accessories. And on those cooler evenings you can easily throw on an oversized jacket to stay warm." – KP

Seol + Gold Tiny Sapphire Flower Pendant

"This brand has good quality, affordable jewellery that is super cute. The Seol + Gold Tiny Sapphire Flower Pendant [24] (£17) is perfect for layering with my favourite gold coin necklace." — KK

Topshop Ecru Denim Jumpsuit

"White denim is always a Summer staple but not always the easiest to pull off. This Topshop Denim Jumpsuit [25] (£45) is super flattering with its wide legs and cinched waist. An easy way to channel the trend, great with trainers for a more casual vibe in the office, or heels for the evening. Straight into my basket!" — KJ

Whistles Sana Linen Button Jumpsuit

"I bought this Whistles Sana Linen Button Jumpsuit [26] (£159) a few weeks ago and love it! Whistles is the queen of a good jumpsuit, and I buy a few every year. I am still wearing ones from 3 years ago as they are perfect transition pieces. For example, you can wear them with trainers and are able to elevate a day look to evening with a simple shoe upgrade. It's also super easy for inconsistent British weather where a cropped jumper works as a cute cover-up for chilly Summer evenings to give that "I'm not tired" (I definitely thought about this) laid-back look." — PM

H&M Hairband with Knot Detail

"These H&M Hairbands [27] (£6) are my newest obsession because they're a great way to accessorise any look. I tend to opt for a more neutral palette for these head pieces as they are a great way to elevate your everyday outfits." — HS

Jets Plunge One Piece

"Jets Plunge One Piece [28] (£120) is a true feat of engineering, and it's a really timeless piece that will definitely end up being worth the investment. The built-in waistband gives the most incredible hourglass silhouette, and though it's revealing up top, it doesn't feel like it's going to accidentally reveal anything. It's sexy without being skimpy, and I'm completely in love." – GC

V by Very Crop Wide Leg Jeans

"It's taken me a while to get on board with white denim, not least because I live in London and they will inevitably be grey by the end of the first day of wear. But there is something so fresh about a pair of cropped white jeans at this time of year, and I am powerless to resist. I'll be teaming the V by Very Crop Wide Leg Jeans [29] (£32) with anything BUT a Breton top, unless I end up taking that trip to the French Riviera after all . . ." — GC

Vagabond Simone Ankle Boots

"I'm in the market for a new pair of black boots! In the Summer, I particularly like a chunky heel, as they can make a girly Summer dress a bit cooler for a night out. I really love Vagabond Simone Ankle Boots [30] (£75, originally £125) — plus, they are on sale! Bonus." — PM
