Faustine Steinmetz, London Fashion Week
One look at Faustine Steinmetz's London Fashion Week collection will have you sporting gouache-stained dungarees, a paintbrush behind the ear, and the introductory line, "I'm an artist now." The undone, effortlessly torn-apart compilation of annihilated athleisure and demolished denim has us itching to take a trip to the nearest art store. Ripped logo tees were tucked into distressed jeans and styled with outerwear that was slathered in paint so thick, it's as if they'd been stripped from the subjects of an oil painting. The dismantled collection certainly has us feeling tame in our DIY cutoffs. Until next season, we'll be taking the scissors to our sweaters, skirts, and separates.
