Georgia May Jagger has been revealed as Sunglass Hut's new face and is set to appear in the retailer's ads from September. The British model's first campaign as brand ambassador, which was shot by Daniel Jackson in a North London studio last month, shows Georgia in full on glam mode with red lips and back-combed hair posing in sunglasses by Tiffany & Co., Versace and Vogue Eyewear. It's the latest high profile role for Mick Jagger and Jerry Hall's daughter, who is also the face of Hudson Jeans and was recently named the new face of Madonna’s Material Girl line. Chief executive officer Fabio D’Angelantonio told WWD:
"With her history and her background, but also her very cool, simple and playful relationship with fashion, we believed [Jagger] could be perfect [for Sunglass Hut]. We talked to her about the project and we got her extremely excited about the category, about the Sunglass Hut brand, and we decided to go ahead with this partnership."
Georgia herself said: "I think everyone knows Sunglass Hut — they’re in every airport. I’m always buying new Ray-Bans." The model's current favourite shades are Persol and Ray-Ban's "younger styles" in bright colours. The Brit might even get behind the lens too, as she’s just completed a photography course at the London College of Communication. D’Angelantonio added: "We’re investigating how [Jagger’s] passion for photography can come alive [for the brand]." What do you think of Georgia's latest role?
