We're used to seeing Kate in a multicolored maelstrom of designer coats for assorted church services and charity engagements, but how much do they actually cost? Kate will occasionally still bring out a relatively inexpensive High Street favorite from Hobbs or L.K.Bennett, but for the most part these days the duchess opts for designer. The bottle green coat she wore for St Patrick's Day and her arrival to Paris in 2017 cost $2,774.

When it came to her sister's big day, Kate opted for a new dress which complemented the bridesmaid's sashes. The Alexander McQueen dusky pink silk creation cost £2,000, while the matching Jane Taylor cocktail hat was $1,387.

For Royal Ascot Kate chose McQueen again – the ivory lace dress cost $3,259.
