Maxi skirts are coming back, and never have I wanted one more. Only problem? I still have yet to settle on a favourite. But when I scrolled by La Veste designer Blanca Miró's outfit on Instagram, I knew what style I was looking for. There's something about an asymmetrical silhouette that draws attention straight to the shoes. While I secretly think this will help me appear taller, I've also been collecting some top notch sandals for the Summer, and it's tough to show them off when you're wearing palazzo pants and a tank.
I love Blanca's combination of a deep purple bottom (her leather version is by Solace London) and earth toned accessories, like these Maryam Nassir Zadeh beaded mules. Add on a rainbow belt, a snake print bag, and chunky tortoise lenses, and this outfit becomes eclectic. That's the type of 'grammable, going out look I strive for this season. While you could opt for a standard, floor-sweeping maxi that gives way to your heels when you walk, I say kill two birds with one stone and wear both standout items at once, allowing them to balance each other out and to be admired by passersby equally.
