J. JS Lee Spring 2014
Jackie Lee's minimalist approach to fashion took a bold turn for Spring 2014, with the J. JS Lee show featuring more colour than we've ever seen before. Separates and shift dresses in the perfect shade of pink opened the show before making way for a more expected run of smart, simple navy and white pieces. But it was a waxed effect used on panels in shirts and coats that really caught the eye, giving a sheen to these well-cut menswear-inspired pieces. Then came grown-up gingham on shirts, dresses, and a shiny coat, all in shades of deep blue and pink. Finally came a pop of aqua on simple shift dresses and the perfect textured suit with the designer's trademark embossed detail. It was great to see Lee having a bit more fun than usual, and those pinks are bound to be popular with the colourful London Fashion Week crowd!
