The 1 Dress From Award Season Jennifer Lawrence Calls Her "Plan B"
Jennifer Lawrence covers Harper's Bazaar's May issue in mostly Dior Haute Couture, so of course, her successful contract with the fashion house was a topic of conversation. In the actress's interview with editor Laura Brown, Jennifer reveals her new relationship with fashion, that really started when she turned 25 and she discovered her personal style. Now, she buys herself items on the regular, like a "pair of earrings. I don't have a boyfriend, so I have to do that sh*t on my own."
But what really got us is Lawrence's note about the red cutout Dior gown she wore to the 2016 Golden Globes:
"That was my plan-B dress. Plan A was a dress that I couldn't wear because awards season is synced with my menstrual cycle, and it has been for years. [The red design] was loose at the front. And I didn't have to worry about sucking anything in. The other dress was really tight, and I'm not going to suck in my uterus. I don't have to do that."
Read on to reminisce about how well J Law worked her column sheath on the carpet, regardless of where she was in her menstrual cycle, then check out images from her shoot in which she shows off her figure in a sheer embellished bralette and the crisply tailored pieces Dior is so famous for.
