Something Old, New, Blue, and Something Very Expensive From Julien Macdonald
It was a star-studded front row at Julien Macdonald, with cast members from Made in Chelsea and Strictly Come Dancing taking the seats at the Royal Opera House. Abbey Clancy supported her former Strictly BFF in a tight, knitted dress that left little to the imagination. We're pretty sure she and all of Julien's other loyal followers must have loved the figure-hugging minidresses with sheer inserts and flower embellishments that came down the runway. As the show processed, there were ruffled swimsuits and baby-doll dresses in soft shades of blush and pale yellow, ticking off London's big colour trends for Spring. These styles were quite unexpected for the designer, who is better known for glitz and glamour. But then came the finale, and those intricate, floor-length evening gowns we've come to know and love. Once a diamond-embroidered bridal gown (that reportedly costs no less than £4 million) stepped onto the runway, Julian Macdonald had us falling head over heels for him all over again.
