Just In: H&M Taps Isabel Marant For Fall Collaboration
H&M has tapped Parisian designer Isabel Marant for its Autumn collaboration — a match-up that seems destined to resonate with both her loyal following and the consumer audience at large. "I am flattered by this collaboration. H&M works with the best designers, and this invitation is an exciting honor," Marant stated.
Aside from single-handedly kick-starting the wedge-sneaker revolution, Marant has established herself again and again as an arbiter of cool-girl Parisian style. In as much, her signature mix of urban appeal, bohemian themes, and rock 'n' roll mentality will serve as the core elements of this exclusive H&M lineup. "I aim at creating something real — something women want to wear in their everyday lives — with a certain carefree style. I think this is very Parisian: you dress up but don't pay too much attention to it, and you still look sexy. The collection is infused with this kind of easiness and attitude."
Set to debut Nov. 14 in 250 stores worldwide, the collection will feature women's clothing and accessories, as well as a collection for men, a first for Marant. More on the collaboration, including a video interview with the designer, is here in the gallery.
