Here's Why the Duchess of Cambridge's Red Dress Really Wasn't a Surprise

All good things come to an end, and the same goes with Kate Middleton's pregnancy looks. However, the Duchess of Cambridge has always made a point to end her streaks of chic maternity style on a high, and we aren't surprised about what she chose to wear for her first postbaby appearance with the new prince.

After George's birth, Kate wore a now iconic polka-dot Jenny Packham dress; and after Charlotte's, she stepped out in another dress designed by the British designer. The now mom-of-three just cemented her dedication to the brand with a red dress that will go down in history. When leaving the hospital with their new son, Kate opted for a red dress, also designed by Jenny Packham, complete with a lacy collar. The look instantly conjured images of the ensemble Princess Diana wore when leaving the hospital with Prince Harry.
