The 9 Maternity Brands That the Duchess of Cambridge Likes to Wear on Repeat

09/02/2018 - 08:05 PM

The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting baby number three [1], and her maternity style [2] is better than ever. Over her three pregnancies, Kate has worn a multitude of great outfits (which were probably put together with the help of her brilliant stylist [3]), giving mums-to-be plenty of inspiration. From legitimate maternity brands to go-to designers [4] that obviously make her feel confident at any size, here are the nine brands that the duchess likes to turn to when it comes to dressing her royal bump.

Jenny Packham

Who could forget the dress Kate wore when she first introduced Prince George to the world [6]? For her first postbaby appearance, the Duchess of Cambridge fittingly chose a baby blue crepe de chine dress from British designer Jenny Packham. But it wasn't the first time that Kate had chosen to wear this brand.

While pregnant, she attended a service celebration for the queen's 60th coronation anniversary in London wearing a nude Jenny Packham dress with a matching coat and L.K. Bennett heels.

In Dec. 2014, while pregnant with Princess Charlotte, Kate chose a navy Jenny Packham gown [7] for the University of St. Andrews' 600th Anniversary Dinner at the Met. The deep blue dress hugged her baby bump, and she accessorised with some sparkly diamond and emerald drop earrings.

Séraphine

Séraphine is one of the maternity brands that Kate favours. She has owned this metallic woven coat dress [8] (£275) since 2014 and has worn it multiple times.

The Florrie printed maternity dress [9] (£65), which she first wore in 2015 [10], also seems to be a staple in Kate's wardrobe.

In fact, the duchess wore it when she stepped out for a visit to Kings College [11]. She paired it with another Séraphine piece, the Natasha coat [12] (£195), and accessorised her outfit with suede Jimmy Choo pumps, sapphire earrings, and a black quilted Jaeger clutch.

Alexander McQueen

It should come as no surprise to see Alexander McQueen as one of Kate's go-tos — after all, she did trust the brand to create her beautiful wedding dress [13]. The Duchess of Cambridge wore this pearl-adorned Alexander McQueen coat while attending the Observance for Commonwealth Day Service in March 2015. It was a look she recycled from her first pregnancy [14], though this time around she complemented the outfit with a satin box clutch, powder pink pumps, and a Jane Taylor headpiece.

For her first appearance [15] after announcing her second pregnancy, Kate opted for a tailored Alexander McQueen coat dress and accessories by Jenny Packham.

Jojo Maman Bébé

For a visit to the Downton Abbey set [16] in March 2015, Kate wore a coat from the maternity brand JoJo Maman Bébé. It had several buttons on the front and a slightly pleated hem.

Topshop Maternity

In April 2013, Kate wore a Topshop Maternity dress for the inauguration of the new Warner Bros. Studios in London [17].

For William Van Cutsem and Rosie Ruck Keene's wedding in May 2013, Kate recycled her polka-dot dress, which she accessorised with a black-and-white Vivien Sheriff hat and a little black jacket.

Goat

The chic Goat Redgrave coat [18] (£600) has been in Kate's wardrobe for the past four years. She first wore it in 2013, when she was pregnant with Prince George and recycled it [19] when she stepped out in London for a visit to Hornsey Road Children's Center.

The Duchess of Cambridge debuted this black Goat coat during her second pregnancy. She then wore it when she visited Birmingham with Prince William [20] in November 2017.

Asos Maternity

For an outing to the Brookhill Children's Centre in Oct. 2015, Kate chose a sweet, polka-dot dress from Asos's maternity line. It was feminine and cute, with the print echoing the Jenny Packham dress she wore [21] when she showed off Prince George to the world.

Hobbs London

Hobbs is another brand that Kate likes to wear on repeat, especially when she's pregnant. When she stepped out to visit the Reach Academy with Place2Be in January, the duchess chose one of the brand's coats [22], which she wore with her favourite Seraphine dress.

For a visit to The Fostering Network in January 2015, Kate wore a textured chocolate brown Hobbs dress, which she accessorised with black tights, pumps, an elegant clutch, some statement jewels, gold dangling earrings, and her gorgeous sapphire ring.

Back in June 2013, the Duchess of Cambridge proved that she's not afraid to wear a bold pattern with this Dalmatian coat dress from Hobbs.

Beulah London

In March 2015, Kate flaunted her baby bump in a navy wool trapeze coat by Beulah London at the Afghanistan Service of Commemoration. She accessorised with navy pumps and a bow-embellished clutch.

The Duchess of Cambridge also chose a Beulah London lace dress for a private event during her trip to New York in 2014. She also turned to the brand to accessorise another one of her outfits [23], taking a page out of Meghan Markle [24]'s fashion book by selecting a printed silk scarf.
