The Duchess of Cambridge arrived at Buckingham Palace for the State Banquet in honour of Donald Trump's UK visit on Monday, and she found the perfect dress for the black-tie occasion. She walked side-by-side with the US Secretary of the Treasury, Steven Mnuchin, in a white gown by Alexander McQueen, one of the Duchess of Cambridge's go-to designers. Her long, pleated dress with cap sleeves flowed across the floor as she made her way into the event with the rest of the attendees, including Prince William, British Prime Minister Theresa May, and the host, Queen Elizabeth II.

The stunning mum of three paired the McQueen dress with Princess Diana's Lovers Knot tiara and sapphire and diamond earrings borrowed from the Queen Mother's collection. The late Queen Mother was photographed wearing the same earrings in 1986. See Kate's gorgeous ensemble ahead, and see how she paid tribute to the women who came before her.
