Lanvin's Spring '17 Collection Is Very Good News For Pyjama-Lovers
For her first-ever collection for Lanvin, new Artistic Director Bouchra Jarrar perfectly summed up her vision in the show's notes. She's been "building clothes around the body," the piece of paper said, "unveiling and veiling the silhouette," and also loves to "cross borders between femininity and masculinity." Blazers and collared jackets were paired with sheer dresses and skirts that seemed to float on by. Suits were slinky and looked somewhat like pyjamas, which is great news for fans of the trend. The colour scheme was mostly neutral, favouring black and white with pops of purple here and there. Plus, the shoes. There's a strong possibility those jewelled slides will be on the feet of every It girl, even before they're available for sale.
