Margherita Missoni Marries in Giambattista Valli Gown
This weekend in Italy, Margherita Missoni married racing driver Eugenio Amos in front of fashion's finest in Brunello. The bride went with a haute couture Giambattista Valli gown, but her family heritage did play a big part as the Valli creation was made with Missoni silk and organza. She wore two versions of the same long-sleeved, flower appliquéd dress — white for the ceremony and blush pink for the reception. The granddaughter of the founders of Missoni wore a tiara and veil in church, then let her braided hair down literally and added a floral headpiece for the celebrations at her mother, creative director Angela Missoni's house.
Margherita's bridesmaids Tatiana Santo Domingo, Eugenie Niarchos and her sister Teresa also embraced the floral headband trend, with the fresh flower hair accessories matching the bride's bouquet and topping off their full-length floral gowns. The fashionable guest list included Mario Testino, Carine Roitfeld, Franc Sozzani, Stefano Tonchi, Suzy Menkes, Marc Ronson and Vogue Italia editor Franca Sozzani.
