Things Were Heating Up at Markus Lupfer's Presentation
Trading in last season's props of fluffy white rabbits, Markus Lupfer's theme du jour for Spring/Summer 2016 was Mexicana. Models donned luchador prints and patches, while feminine dresses with desert flower embroidery were paired with bomber jackets, and bold striped camisoles topped printed cropped trousers. Stepping away from anything too gimmicky, Lupfer chose a simple monochrome colour palette with touches of bronze and baby pink. It was an A* for effort on accessories, too, as models were styled in bejewelled chokers, oversize sunglasses, and embellished slip-ons and sandals. Once again, Lupfer pumped his signature humour into a capsule collection of effortlessly cool holiday ensembles, and the best bit? Every bit was totally wearable — olé!
