Popsugar Fashion Celebrity Fashion Meghan's Markle's Dress Looks Like Harry Potter Wedding Gown Meghan's Dress Reminds Us of This Harry Potter Moment, and Now We Love It Even More 26 October 2018 by Gemma Cartwright Image Source: Getty When Meghan Markle stepped out in Sydney wearing a stunning Oscar de la Renta dress covered in black birds, most people agreed she looked stunning. But opinions differed wildly when it came to what the dress reminded us of. Some compared the ballet-length dress to Natalie Portman's Black Swan ensemble. Others (including us) noticed the distinct Halloween vibe to the black and white gown. Even Katniss Everdeen's would-be wedding dress was thrown into the mix, before we landed on exactly what this dress pays accidental homage too: Fleur Delacour's wedding dress from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1. It's got the same illusion neckline, the same full white skirt, and the same black bird embellishment (although Fleur's dress features the mythical phoenix, rather than Meghan's unnamed birds). Does this mean Meghan's a secret fan of the Wizarding World? She's definitely cast a spell over us! Take a look at both dresses ahead, and decide for yourself.
