Mulberry has announced the appointment of Johnny Coca as the brand's creative director. Coca is currently head design director for leather goods, shoes, hard accessories, jewellery, and sunglasses at Céline but will join the British heritage brand in July 2015, when he will take responsibility for all of Mulberry's collections.
The appointment comes over a year after Emma Hill left the label, though rumours have been rife that Spanish-born Coca was up for the job for some time.
"I very much look forward to joining Mulberry as their new creative director and to leading a new design direction at one of the very best British Brands," said Godfrey Davis, Mulberry's chairman and CEO. "We are delighted that Johnny is joining us. He has a wealth of international luxury and fashion experience that will help us bring new energy and innovation to Mulberry."
