After 18 months with no designated creative director, Mulberry showed its first collection helmed by the new man in charge, Johnny Coca. Inspired by William Shakespeare's ability to appeal to and represent everyone "from the noble to the nobody," Coca showed an Autumn Winter collection that's as chic as the classic Mulberry clientele expects, but daring enough to draw a younger, more streetwise crowd. The designer put Mulberry ladies in expertly styled and layered classics featuring exciting flashes of neon and studded detailing, topped with sharp coats, capes, and studded jackets. Standout pieces from the collection include creeper-style footwear, printed and appliquéd bomber jackets, and studded bags, which will no doubt be featured as street style highlights for Fashion Weeks to come.
