Back in the late 1940s and '50s, British fashion brand Horrockses was famous for its pretty cotton dresses in a multitude of prints. They were so popular, even the Queen packed Horrockses dresses for her trip to the Commonwealth in 1953. Though the label went into decline in the proceeding decades, original Horrockses dresses from the label's heyday now fetch a pretty price at vintage sales and auctions, with vintage fans and collectors keen to snap up those flattering shirtwaisters and nipped-waist sundresses. But now, Horrockses is back in business! Though the new launch shares only a name with the original Lancashire-based company, it does pay homage to those original '50s designs, re-creating them for a new generation of fans. ASOS currently stocks seven exclusive designs, including an off-the-shoulder gingham print, a poppy-covered halter, and a pretty pansy-print prom dress. See and shop them all now! Prefer an earlier vintage? How about these amazing flapper dresses instead?
