Every Summer, I go on a quest to find the perfect hot-weather outfit. Like Goldilocks, I'm hunting for something that's just right: it has to keep me cool but can't be too short or revealing.
It's easier said than done — but this year, I think I finally did it. I found my saving grace in this linen jumpsuit [1] ($40) from Old Navy. With a high neckline and thin straps, it reveals just enough skin. The flattering silhouette cuts in at the waist to show off my curves, but the pants have a loose, wide-legged fit that is both on-trend and perfect for hot weather.
Best of all, it's made from a lightweight linen blend that stays incredibly cool on hot days — and trust me, I've lived through plenty of those in humid New York. I've made it through long waits on the sweltering subway platform, boozy brunches on sunny patios, and even warm weekend trips without spotting a single sweat mark.
While the lilac striped version I bought a few months ago isn't in stock anymore, Old Navy has debuted a few new colour options. Keep reading to see just some of the ways I'm wearing this jumpsuit this Summer, and check out the brand-new versions from Old Navy.
