Peter Pilotto Balances Commercial and Cool For Spring 2016
Design duo Peter Pilotto and Christopher de Vos bought their wearability A game to London Fashion Week on Monday, presenting a collection that both belongs on the catwalk and in store. Channelling all that is feminine and contemporary, lace-trimmed strappy dresses were updated with modern plastic belts, and elegant day dresses in crisp white with elements of sky blue and lemon were given a new edge with structural straps. When it came to separates, high-waisted skirts were styled with asymmetrically cut crop tops and sleeveless utility jackets with fluid skirts. Understanding the true British summertime, a selection of bomber jackets and peplum zipped cardigans were also on offer as well as ruffle knits with paper-bag waists. One thing's for sure, these boys know just how to balance commercial and cool, and thus, this collection will fly off the shelves.
