It was an early start for the fourth day of London Fashion Week as BellaSugar UK and I headed to Waterloo for the Peter Pilotto show. The sun was shining as the trend for white continued with bright ladylike dresses opening the Spring collection. It continued with the classic feminine feel with '70s YSL inspired designs as dresses were ankle grazing with subtle splits revealing hints of leg. They began to introduce flashes of colour before deep blue jersey maxi dresses were shown with high choker necklines.
Soft details like long ties draped down the back and bell sleeves created a sensual feel. Rather than going for a '70s hippy vibe, the design duo hinted at the trend with bell sleeves and kick flare trousers. The prints, for which Peter Pilotto have become famous, were still present, but in panels creating a more mature collection. The shoes (by Nicholas Kirkwood) were architectural with square frame heels – I snapped them backstage! Do you like this Spring collection?
