Stefano Pilati went through the archives of Yves Saint Laurent to create this collection. They were many nods to the brands heritage which were shown through key pieces and sharp tailoring. Some pieces gave the impression of covering up, but sheer fabrics, flashes of midriff and backless pieces added a much sexier edge. This continued with the knee length skirts which had revealing slits and trench coats which were worn alone with cinched waists. There was a very '70s feel to the collection which Pilati described as being for a "new tribe". It was quite a safe collection, but one which will be remembered and celebrated for some time.
