Colourful Ensembles at Notting Hill Carnival
Did you make it down to Notting Hill Carnival this weekend? The event lasted two days and takes over the streets of West London. It was began by the Caribbean community in 1966 and has been growing in size ever since. This weekend, the slightly chilly weather didn't dampen spirits as over a million people took to the streets of Notting Hill to dance and eat Caribbean food (yum!). This year, there was a three and a half mile long parade which showcased a lot of gorgeous, colourful ensembles. 16,000 records were played across 41 different sound systems, but I wonder how many feathers were used on costumes?
